The origin of Sree Narayana movement in Bahrain dates back more than three decades when in 1989; a group of dedicated followers of the Saint Sree Narayana Guru; formed an organization called Bahrain Sree Narayana Centre (BSNC). Prominent among the founder members were Messrs. P.K.Rajan, K.Bhaskaran, late S.P. Ranjan, T.B. Viswanathan and N. Vamadevan.
In late 1999, BSNC was granted registration as a Cultural society by the Ministry of Labor & Social Affairs, Government of Bahrain, under the name: Sree Naryana Cultural Society (SNCS)
The society was formally inaugurated on 22nd March 2000 in Indian School premises by late Shri. Sukumar Azhikode; a veteran academician, social critic, philosopher and author.
SNCS has an active membership base of more than 2000, with five area units; spread across Bahrain; representing a cross section of Kerala Community in all walks of life.
The society’s registered office is located in the Salmaniya area of Manama with easy access to members and general public.

The primary objective of the organization is to propagate the ideals and philosophy of Sree Narayana Guru, whose teachings are increasingly becoming relevant in today’s socio, religious and economic context.
